Northstar Animal Care & Upper Arlington Vetrinary Hospital
Columbus Veterinary Care

Adam Parson

Hello worldwide web! Thank you for taking the time to read this information about me. I will try to inform you about your new doctor, without boring you. My interest in veterinary medicine began as a young man in Mt. Vernon, Ohio. I had many duties as a kennel boy for Dr. Barry Reppart. In the beginning, I cleaned cages, walked dogs, mowed the grass, scrubbed floors, and trimmed hedges. I was soon helping with surgeries in the evening, and my responsibilities steadily increased until I was a competent assistant. Dr. Reppart’s passion and care for this field is priceless, and he continues to be a wonderful mentor. My next step was to High Point University in North Carolina. Here I played golf on a daily basis for the golf team and attended many labs for my biology degree. The growth at High Point prepared me for the educational process at OSU. I attended OSU Veterinary College from 1998-2002. During this time my son was born and I became a licensed veterinarian.

Next, I completed an internship at Medvet in Worthington, Ohio. I feel that this experience propelled me forward in my field. This long grueling year as an intern packed me full of knowledge and experience. After completion, I felt with great confidence that I could go in to the world and be the best veterinarian ever. Since then, my knowledge base and experience has proven to be grand. The level of care I can offer is above most. During this time I also married Joanna Parson, who is an emergency veterinarian. Dr. Denise Porter and I met in 2006 and she offered me Apples Veterinary Hospital. I took ownership in October 2006, and changed the name of the clinic to Northstar Animal Care at our one year anniversary. My team at Northstar is composed of many great individuals. The practice has grown tremendously since 2006, and the care provided has been fine tuned to provide the utmost in client and patient service.

So, this is my story of where I am today. I also have a lovely daughter and two sons, and we live in UA. This area of Grandview and Upper Arlington has been home to my aunts and uncles for years. I am happy to return to my parent’s roots and live a long life here. All of our pets are rescues and I love them dearly; their names are Hank, Paco, Stephanie, Julio, Twister and Steve. Many of you have probably met Hank, as he comes to the clinic with me everyday. For fun and relaxation, I continue to golf, love to hike the mountains of Kentucky and Colorado with friends, or go skiing with my son. I also have an old mountain bike that I still barrel through Alum Creek on! I am a perpetual student - learning new information regularly and interacting with veterinary specialist on a daily basis. My promise to you and your pets is to focus on each patient as my own and leave no stone unturned.
